Leander Ridgeway Signs in Mexico
6-4 Guard Leander Ridgeway has signed with Jaibos Tampico in Mexico (CIBAPAC League). Ridgeway will team up with former University of Cumberlands standout Malik "Superman" Colvin-Seldon. Ridgeway was a standout at Asbury University for Coach Will Shouse. He averaged 16.2 ppg., 8.0 rpg., 3.4 assists, and 1.4 steals per game his senior season. He was named to River States Conference first team that season.
His junior season he averaged 17.6 ppg., 7.4rpg, 2.6 assists, and 1.4 steals and was named to the River States All Conference team. He played high school basketball at Henry Clay in Lexington, Kentucky.
Ridgeway also attended the 2021 SBS Pro Workout and played very well. It also should be noted that Ridgeway was very impressive this summer in the Lexington Dirt Bowl. Michael Stinnett watched several of the games online this summer from the league.
"David Gonzalez (Free Agency Basketball President/FIBA Agent) and I are very happy for Leander. He is a great person and had a big time summer. He has kept in touch since the SBS Pro Workout in 2021. I think he and Malik will play very well together and they will represent Jaibos Tampico very well on and off the floor.
